Given Blizzard's history with level editors in the past, it would make sense to see some sort of level creation tool for Overwatch 2 introduced. Of course, it'd be tough to flesh out the details with all of the assets and intricacies involved in building a functional 3D space, but surely some sort of basic toolkit to create smaller battle arenas could be implemen

Overwatch 2 is a strange game to review. It’s a free-to-play live-service experience that depends on a consistent audience to find games and progress through its battle pass. As you might have already guessed, there were only so many games journalists in the world to populate its servers as we rocketed towards the embargo. Thus I am left in a bit of a pickle.

Overwatch 2 is a very iterative sequel, and thus many of its menus will feel very familiar to those who spent time with its predecessor. Because of this stylistic choice I’m going to work through the highlights and point out all of their biggest draws and flaws before deciding on an overall score for the entire package. Yes, some serious science has gone into this idea.

Throughout the nearly forty-minute showcase, Blizzard shows only up to five players on a team at a time. There’s no explicit statement regarding this choice in presentation, but it could suggest that Overwatch 2 will introduce a team size-adjustment down to five play

Just because a sequel exists doesn’t mean I don’t want to play the original. When Warcraft 3 came out, I didn’t want Warcraft 2 erased from existence - even if Warcraft 3 had more content. When I play Smash Bros. Ultimate, I don’t wish Nintendo would break every copy of Smash Bros. Melee with their bare hands. Let me repeat that: even when a new game contains all or most of the content of a previous game, that doesn’t mean the previous game should have a bullet put in the back of its head. Especially if there are fundamental differences in the way games play out. Smash. Bros Ultimate may have the content of Melee, but the two feel different.

One of the most significant additions coming with Overwatch 2 is its new PvE game type, Hero Missions. And while Blizzard spoke a lot about this new element, there were a few details in the video left on the table — specifically regarding Hero abilities and upgra

One element that Overwatch 2 will seemingly have in spades is an abundance of cooperative missions and full-fledged hero missions. Not only will we get to play with newly introduced upgrades, but we'll get to live out cinematic stories that play an important part in the already rich, expansive lore of Overwatch . These will take place following Winston's call to reunite the Overwatch t

In the absence of playing any actual games in Overwatch 2, I had a decent amount of fun staring at its menus as the search time for a match moved into the double digits. There was a weird smugness to seeing the years of work I put into the first entry immediately reflected in the updated client, which to me looks slicker and better presented than anything that came before it.

Mauga is a big target, and his abilities may help somewhat in battle, but players will want a healer at their side to make sure they stay alive. His ability to take reduced damage and heal through dealing damage is fairly average, and his Cage Fight ability to trap himself with enemies isn't the most efficient other than for visit Overwatch2Base.com now >>> a sacrifice play or to create further aggressive carnage that can easily distract opponents long enough to secure objecti

If you’re not intimately familiar with Overwatch, it might be hard to tell Overwatch 2 is even a different game. It has a few new characters and some new maps, a new game mode called Push, plus some subtle character redesigns, but it's largely the same game it's always been. But if you’ve been an active Overwatch player, a lot of the subtle changes have actually made a pretty big differe

To truly make Overwatch 2 shine through as a true, distinct sequel, it would be nice to see an entire batch of new recruits to the Overwatch and/or Blackwatch squad. Perhaps we could at least kick things off with a couple of heroes that cover each of the 3 major categories - DPS, tank, and supp

Based on the lack of Ult charge and Sojourn’s blue glow in this clip, this looks to be Sojourn’s Ultimate ability for this build of Overwatch 2. It looks very powerful but also super reliant on good aim and tim

It’s the same corporate avarice that led us to Stadia , only Google was far more incompetent with how they sold it. Fortunately, Google has more money than there are gods in the heavens; they can (mostly) pay people back for the company’s mistake . But remember Stadia wasn’t a live game that just didn’t take off. It was an entire platform that didn’t take off. A platform that Google promised would stay online for the foreseeable future. And, like Blizzard, Google could also afford the servers.
